YOGA INSTRUCTION

IYENGAR YOGA WALL

A Mobility Session is perfect for those with an existing movement practice or for those not interested in yoga. Based on Dr. Kelly Starrett’s system of Movement & Mobility and old fashioned hatha yoga, this session focus on improving your posture (stability), movement, and mobility.

Hands on treatments focus on both active assisted (AIS) and assisted resistance methods (PNF) and specific trigger point (NMT) to quickly open stuck fascia and mobilize the joints. In addition to getting stretched, you will be learning the sequences for your self maintenance.

Private Yoga instruction allows you to work on the facets of practice that are unique to your body, your mindset and lifestyle. This Private Lesson will be tailored to your goals, fitness level, and interest. Under the instructor’s watchful eye, you will learn and refine the fundamentals of yoga, work with injuries or break through to the next level.

The Yoga Wall is based upon original design of BKS Iyengar in the form of ropes attached to wall hooks to assist his students in the various yoga postures. Our Yoga Wall system is an updated version of the same idea. Instead of hooks and ropes, our system has built in wall sockets that separate components are then mounted on.

Learning yoga on the wall will create lasting muscle memory and a deeper body awareness. Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced practitioner, the Great Yoga Wall is an incredible tool for opening into postures that previously seemed impossible.

Sessions are progressive, beginners will learn the fundamentals and how to use the equipment. Postures ranging from standing poses, backbends, forward bending, twists, and inversions can be practiced. And less conventional sequences like the “Spinal Rejuvenator” can only be practiced on the Yoga Wall.
