Our spine and pelvis are a central part of our being. Together, they allow us to stand upright, protect our spinal cord and important reproductive organs, and allow for a wide range of motion through the trunk of our body.
The workshop is an introduction to Spinal Release Yoga (SRY), a restorative-form of yoga therapy that comprise of strategic and nonconventional forms of yoga asanas to effectively release deep muscles attached to the spine and pelvis. The concept of SRY is constructive rest to allow these deep, persistently tight muscles to return to their neutral, relaxed state.

Brahma Kumaris Raja Yoga Meditation with Rini
7:00- 8:30 pm
Sun 3/22, Wed 3/25, Thur 3/26, Fri 3/27 and Sat 3/28
This meditation is called Brahma Kumaris Raja yoga meditation. In this meditation, we don’t stop the mind from thinking but redirect it to think in a healthier way. This is an open eye meditation and comprises of four pillars:
1-Accurate knowledge - the function of the mind is to think and the source of thoughts is the information we take in through our senses (eyes, ears, etc.) What we read, watch, hear, etc.
2- Connection with the source- By connecting with the source we receive the power and clarity to put accurate thought into action and also to discern what’s the right action for me. We will learn how to connect with the Source.
3- Imbibing the knowledge- Once we receive power and clarity from the Supreme Source it becomes very easy to put right thoughts into action. And when the right action is repeated a few times it becomes a habit and that’s when living with stability and peace becomes a habit/ natural.
4- Service- We serve first with our thoughts and then words and then actions. Just my peaceful presence in any scene of life is the highest service that I can give. When first three pillars are followed the fourth one is natural and automatic.
